How We Use Your Data
Service Delivery
We use your data to:
- Generate lesson plans, assessments, and feedback
- Provide context-aware responses using your knowledge base
- Save and organize your documents
- Enable export to Google Docs, Slides, and other formats
Teacher Voice Learning
If you opt in, we analyze your writing patterns to:
- Learn your vocabulary, tone, and sentence structure
- Generate content that sounds authentically like you
- Create a style profile used only to personalize your outputs
Your style profile is workspace-isolated. It is never shared with other users or used across accounts. You can delete your style profile and samples at any time.
Content Generation
We do not train machine learning models on your content. Your documents, writing samples, and data are never used to train models. When Mossie generates content, it uses your context (knowledge base, student info) to produce relevant outputs, but this context is processed at request time and not retained for model training.
Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following services to provide functionality:
Google Workspace
- Purpose: Export documents to Google Docs, Slides, and Forms; connect your Google Drive for knowledge base sync
- Data shared: Document content you choose to export; file metadata for Drive sync
- Their privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy
Language Model Providers (via OpenRouter)
- Purpose: Process content generation requests
- Data shared: Prompts and context necessary for generation
- Retention: Providers do not store your content after processing
Payment Processors
- Stripe (web) and RevenueCat (mobile) handle subscription billing
- Data shared: Payment information, subscription status
- We do not store credit card numbers on our servers
Data Storage and Ownership
You Own Your Data
Your documents, lesson plans, and content belong to you. Mossie provides tools to create and organize your work, but you retain full ownership.
Where Data Lives
- Documents: Can live in your Google Drive (if connected) or be exported anytime
- Knowledge base: We store embeddings and metadata, not original document content (ingest-and-discard model)
- Style profiles: Stored securely in your isolated workspace
Workspace Isolation
Each teacher's workspace is fully isolated. Your data is never mixed with other users' data, and there is no cross-workspace data sharing.

- Active accounts: Data retained while your account is active
- Deleted documents: Permanently removed within 30 days
