Our Story

Why “Mossie”?

In Afrikaans, a mossie is a Cape Sparrow — small, resilient, found everywhere across southern Africa.

After the devastation of the Anglo-Boer War, women who survived the concentration camps chose two sparrows as their symbol of hope. Inspired by the scripture that not one sparrow falls without being known, the twee mossies were placed on South Africa's smallest coin — a reminder that even the most humble life has immeasurable worth.

We chose this name because we believe the same about your voice as a teacher. It has value. It shouldn't be replaced by generic AI. It should be heard.
